Executive Administrator:​ Brookline Food Pantry

Job Duties:  


  • Provide administrative support under the direction of the Executive Director (ED).
  • Develop, maintain, revise and distribute monthly calendar for volunteer shifts, related activities and special events.
  • Assist with recruiting, screening, orienting, and overseeing volunteers. 
  • Pay monthly bills, coordinate deposits and reconcile bank account.
  • Provide assistance in the purchasing and delivery of food, materials, and supplies.
  • Coordinate BFP social media outlets, and website maintenance. 
  • Respond to phone inquiries and emails.
  • Assist on special projects such as food drives, school visits, fundraising efforts, and holiday food distribution programs.
  • Assist with the collection of community information regarding resources available to Brookline residence.  Maintain bulletin board with community information from other non-profits. 
  • Coordinate and distribute Board Meeting materials.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent organization, written, and verbal communication skills 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Knowledge and understanding of Social Media/Communication platforms including: Facebook, Twitter,  Google+, etc.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks is preferred
  • Must have compassion for people and a commitment to the Mission of BFP
  • Car preferred due to need to go between sites and occasionally transport food

Hours & Compensation:
This is a part time, flexible position at approximately 20 hours per week with room to increase over time.  Some of the hours will need to be between 10 and 2 during the weekdays.  Compensation will be at an hourly rate, based on the experience of the candidate.
