How to Get Food

Due to the recent COVID 19 pandemic, the Brookline Food Pantry is operating under Emergency Protocols

Go to a pantry location

Clients may receive free food during open pantry hours.

226 High Street, Community Room
Tuesday: 3 pm - 7 pm

15 St. Paul Street, St. Paul Church
Wednesday: 3 pm - 6 pm
Thursday: 11 am - 2 pm

55A Egmont Street, Community Room
Thursday: 3 pm - 7 pm
Saturday: 10 am - 1 pm

When clients arrive at our pantry locations, clients will be asked to take a paper number. If you have arrived early, you may go home or leave the property until the pantry opens. If you plan to wait, please observe social distancing (at least 6 feet from other clients and volunteers). Traffic cones will be used as a gentle reminder of spacing and to allow you to know when it is your turn. If you are not present at the time your number is called, you may shop next when you arrive.

Each client will receive 1 bag of refrigerator/freezer items, 1 bag of perishable foods such as fruits and vegetables, and 1 bag of nonperishable foods such as rice, cereals, and canned goods for a total of 3 bags.

Emergency food delivery assistance

For those who are unable to go to a pantry location, we offer emergency food delivery.

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, we recognize some of our most vulnerable clients may be unable to come to our pantry to receive free food. As a temporary measure, we will be providing home delivery to clients who meet certain guidelines:

  • Must live in Brookline
  • Meets low income guidelines such as a resident of Brookline Housing Authority, receives services such as SNAP, SSI, Medicaid/Medicare, etc or has received home delivery in the past  (Meals On Wheels, etc).
  • Disabled or high risk due to age, immune compromised, or other related medical conditions
  • Has a referral from local social service agencies (not required)

To see if you qualify for home delivery services, please email BFPEmergencyFoodAssistance@gmail.com or call Elizabeth Boen at 617-800-5339.
